What’s the Point?

On April 8th I posted “From One Egg to Another” – I got lots of comments but this one really hit home….
For an egg to be useful and fulfill its purpose, it must be cracked at some point, otherwise, what’s the point?
What a GREAT question !!!
I chewed on this question a long time. There are many reasons to crack an egg so I began to wonder what kind of egg am I? Or what kind do I want to be…..
Scrambled, Over Easy, Over Medium, Over Hard, Sunny Side Up, Fried (all hard for an egg sandwhich), Poached, Boiled, Separated (some baking recipes).
Then I began to ponder, as I always do, and became introspective. If it is left alone in the right environment it will transform and become a different creation entirely. At the proper time it will crack from the inside out and a chick will come forth.
Of course I chose a Swan picture as we all know the story of the Ugly Duckling turning into a Swan !! What a wonderful life lesson this story holds.
There is another nursery rhyme about an egg.
After all my searching and chewing on what kind of egg my blog was about this is the crust of the biscuit !! The accidental cracking of someone. There is much care to be taken in the way that we treat people. Some of us are much stronger than others.
The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
So be careful ladies if God has placed someone in your life that you know is fragile – treat her tenderly.
Help her to become the beautiful swan she was created to be. Because all the King’s Men could not put Humpty back together again……….
Only the King of Kings can do that – if someone in your life is broken help her find Jesus only He can heal from the inside out.
