What If We……

I get into so much trouble because I do not have a filter between my thoughts and my mouth.  Interestingly enough  I do not speak ugly things about people so the absence of the filter only causes problems when I start to jabber about myself and spill details all over.

Our greatest weaknesses are sometimes our greatest strengths.

The same absence of filter allows me to write things here that other women won’t write.  To tell truths that make you realize that if you’ve had the same feelings or fears that you are not alone.

WHAT IF WE……..could all be honest with each other and share the darkest fears within?

WHAT IF WE……would hold on to each other and love….no matter what?

WHAT IF WE……were safe to tell each other……..anything.

WHAT IF WE……would listen and love and not push or pull or judge.

WHAT IF WE HEARD…….

I want a divorce.

I had an abortion.

I think I’m losing my mind.

I had an affair.  My husband had an affair.

I have lost my faith.

WHAT IF WE…… prayed and sought to become THAT friend who our friends could come to…..and sit on the porch with them and LOVE them, not matter what we heard, no matter what they choose to do (or not do).

Is that biblical???? To simply listen to each other, hold one another and love no matter what?

Sometimes the lack of filter gets me into trouble and I get knocked out like Brad Pitt in yesterday’s blog but then other times that lack of filter helps me to absorb other people’s dirt and just love on them.  No matter what.
