The truth will set you free, then again, sometimes it won’t.

Truth is a powerful thing.  We all crave it, need it, expect it and hopefully give it.  There is one aspect to the truth that makes life difficult – truth that hurts.  God will gently tell us truth when we need  to be convicted, repent and move on.  On Earth this is called “constructive criticism”.

However, sometimes there is truth that gets stuck in our hearts, souls, or minds and we have trouble swallowing it and going forward.  God can and will gently walk us thru this and it is not easy.  It takes time.  An example of this is when someone you love is caught in a lie that causes you much grief, embarrassment or fear.

A worse walk still is the truth that is used as a trap by an enemy.  This is where I am at right now.  Truth, I hear it over and over in my head causing me fear and intimidation. “The truth is….” “Dont’ forget…” “Remember…..”  Every statement I hear is true but deeper in me still is the drive and desire to change it.  We cannot change the past, we can change the future.  We can change OUR future. We can learn from our mistakes and repent (which means to be really sorry and not do it again).

So, if you are facing an ugly truth remember what the Bible says about Abraham. He was promised a son and he never lost hope even though he and his wife were old – it says that he saw reality, faced it and yet had HOPE.  Sometimes when the devil tells you the truth so bad it hurts – just pour some hope into your heart and spirit, take a deep breath and walk on.

He might be right about yesterday but he has no idea what gonna happen to you tomorrow !!

Stay strong Ladies. Keep the faith, fight the good fight !!!!!
