Last Friday, my mother and I snuck off to Fredericksburg.  We had a wonderful lunch, then drove around and looked at Bluebonnets.  It was a very special day.  There are so many ways that I am blessed.   I do have a wonderful mother, we live close to each other, we get to spend time together, we enjoy each other’s company and both have a deep faith so our conversations are uplifting and encouraging.

I try not to take my mom for granted, or the time we have together.

My dad and other mom are a different story altogether.  They live 2 hours away and I haven’t seen them in ages.  We have to make a special arrangement to get together, especially with my new work schedule. I miss them terribly. Time is precious and there never seems to be enough. Sometimes life is bittersweet and we must be thankful for all we have and all we lack.

This blog has reminded me that I’m due a road trip, no time to waste !
