So, Friday night I was folding laundry and found out I had some HBO channels free for the weekend.  Wait, before you feel sorry for me there are a lot of married women who do laundry on Friday nights too…. right ladies?  Anyway, there was a scene in the movie “The Eagle” where two men on horseback are being chased by an army of tribesmen out for serious blood.

I hear one say “I hear them coming.”

As his counterpart replies, “Yes, but they are far away.  The wind always lies.

My mind began to race, I can write about that! I took a break and grabbed my laptop!! How many times are you in a situation and you feel the pressure coming up behind you?

Decisions?    Relationships?   Commitments?

You know what I’m talking about. It’s hard to breathe when you’re under the gun.  So the next time you begin to feel overwhelmed. Stop, take a breath and remember it’s not as urgent as you think.

We’ve learned in class that when your anxiety goes up your brain function goes down.  It’s a chemical reaction in the brain that you have not control over.  So, if you take a break and relax you will be able to think more clearly and your decisions will process better. Now that I have blogged this I’m sure I’ll have an opportunity to be tested on it !!!
