Ok, today I will tell the sad story from my weekend.  Saturday I attended a memorial service for a dear friend and one of my son’s previous Boy Scout Leaders.  He was a true Texas Treasure and will be missed terribly.  He had been fighting a red blood cell disease for many years and died from an infection that he was not able to fight off.  Last summer he had a horrible scare with an infection and was in ICU for 42 days – he came out of a coma during that time and was fully persuaded that God had spared his life. I was too. He boasted to me that a relative of his had even convinced an atheist to pray for him. He thought that was a great compliment !!!!!

None of us know when our day is coming. All of us need to be prepared as best we can.  Knowing Jesus is (in my opinion) the only safe preparation we can do and loving Jesus while we are here is what makes life on Earth worth living.  As for the people we have hurt or those who have hurt us I also have an opinion……

If you can make peace – make peace.    If you cannot make peace, pray.  Sylvia Rogers
