-A Beautiful Picture of Hope –
Pain does not discriminate. Are you with me? I recently read a story of a wife and mother who fell in love with man and had an affair. With divorce papers filed her fate was sealed. New man, new life, until she changed her mind. Her heart belonged with her husband and he was willing to negotiate but the other man had to go. Before you think this is romantic and should have been my Valentine’s Day blog, think again. Living in a world where two men are in love with you is no fairy tale. The other man’s world collapsed and he was put under a suicide watch. Both men, in love with the same woman. The woman, torn apart from love, grief, pain, responsiblity, shame, and sorrow. BUT GOD, if you let Him, can and will conquer death and resurrect life. The story is four years old and there has been much time and healing. Here is a quote from the story:
“Truly remarkable how good our God is – even when we do not deserve it, He gives us grace. In fact, the word grace is literally translated unmerited favor from God. Adultery merits nothing less than death, even by decay; howbeit, by His unmerited favor Jesus is Redeemer of all things !”
Today, this family is intact and flourishing. Keep this as a token of hope to you, if you think you’ve gone beyond the border of redemption – think again. Reach out to the Redeemer and He will catch you. I’m not saying it will be easy but I am saying it will be worth it. My prayer of hope goes with this blog today. Pray for your friends, you never know what someone is facing today.
