There is a time for everything.  Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 talks of this and most people have heard of these lines – there’s even a popular song from the 1960’s about it.  I’m impatient, the time is taking too long for  Spring to get here.  I’m so ready for the green grass and for my tulips to blooom.  A little color on the gray palette that has been this Texas Winter.  My cold heart longs for the spring to thaw me and bring me back to life.   I’ve been in “Emotional ICU”  for so long that I just long for release.  Alas, there is a time of healing and if we push too hard we can cause re-injury to the hurt places.  I’m speaking emotionally, spiritually and physically too.  If you remove a cast from a broken arm too soon – it will not heal correctly. Sometimes doctors will re-break a bone in order to reset it – YIKES!!  But waiting, the waiting is the hardest thing.  I press forward to the day that I will be able to shower you all with happy words that frolic and dance on the page and bring color and joy!!!!  Until then, I’ll rest my weary soul with Praise, reading in God’s word and singing.  Lots of singing.  Here’s a great quote – if I’ve used it already I’m going to use it again !!!!

A real friend knows when to listen, when to stop listening, when to talk, when to stop talking, when to pour wine, and when to stop pouring and just hand over the bottle.
