Today is “Holy Thursday” we need to fully embrace the horrible events that led to the death and resurrection of Jesus.  The Old Testament is piled high with the laws and sacrafices needed to belong to our Holy God. But, when Jesus gave up his sprit on the cross the curtain in the Temple ripped from top to bottom the entrance into the Holy of Holies was opened up.

50And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. 51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. Matthew 27:50-52

His love for us has opened up the Kingdom of Heaven for us here on Earth to be able to reach Him and have Him reach back and come into our lives just like He did with Adam and Eve – all He wants is us to love Him – –

NOT BECAUSE WE HAVE TO, BUT BECAUSE WE WANT TO.  Heidi Klaassen

So, cry out to Him, don’t waste time – and tell Him everything, confess every sin – clean out all the dark places and allow Him access to come in and bring LIFE and bring you more JOY than you can imagine.  Will it make everything in your life perfect – no way !  But giving him the access to control your destiny is the only way to clean up the train wreck that your life is and the only way to get your train back on the right track. He wants a relationship with YOU, you cannot control anyone else or their destiny – but He wants your destiny to be fabulous.

Enough preaching – here is a link to the best song I’ve ever heard concerning the death of Jesus, from the perspective of one young girl.  Some of you have heard me sing this song in church, it is powerful.  May we face this day somber with the reality that He rose from the dead so that we can have life, not only everlastinglife, but life here on Earth – abundant, happy, prosperous !!
