“Consent Form”

As you know our mission team went for travel vaccinations this week. It was my responsiblity to pull that off.  I spent many weeks trying to find someone to do the injections, you can’t just get a Typhoid shot at your local health department.  By a miracle (this could be a blog itself) I picked up a local directory that had a “Travel Medicine” listing right here in town (I had called over 10 docs in this city and not one office refered me to this doctor). The nighmare of getting everyone to San Antonio three times for the Hepatitis series was relieved. Well, after all my hard work and research all seven of us showed up at the appointment and I realized that all of it meant nothing if anyone refused to sign the consent form !!

Why is this in the blog?  Because I’m a preacher and I turn everything into a sermon if you let me !!

Jesus is all up in this blog if you can receive it….in order to get to Heaven you MUST have given Jesus the authority to be in your life. . . “CONSENT” you have to allow Him a place He will not take it by force.  That doctor was not going to beg us or chase us down we had to “allow” her access.  Are you hearing me here?  We have to “allow” Him.  Don’t be mad at Him that things are falling apart if you have not given Him the authority to be involved.  All the work you do for family, church, community, and friends means nothing. All the anxiety of keeping things organized, people pleased, communication clear and precise – – again means nothing.  I want to go to Africa and I can’t get there without a passport and the yellow immunization form. So it is in Heaven, Jesus said,

 “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life no one comes to the Father except by me.” John 14:6

Jesus is your consent form.
