“The pictures are not pretty, so I’m only sending one…Praise God for His goodness, grace, and Divine intervention – for the phone call not a day to late, for Mom’s backyard, and compassionate neighbors, for friends with a stock trailer just up the road from the mares, for another friend with goose-neck hitch and time, for husbands who forgive their wives for getting upset, (to name a few of the mountains moved),  and Praise to God most of all for God caring so much about us that He’s moved mountains to for us to rescue the horse that rescued me!  Thank you Jesus.. Bless You Pappa for Your goodness is everlasting, grace beyond measure… your warm hand holds our hearts.  Love to each of you… Lovin’ Him (all ways), Moon”

I received the above email on June 4th. Ginger has been Moon’s horse for 20 year they have been through everything together. I waited a month before we even discussed getting this on the blog. It is not her first email of that day, the first email was the details of how they found her, what neglect she had suffered and that she could die.  I only shared the one including Praise to God.

Life is fragile, and God cares for everything. Everything. He’s talking if you’re listening.

Sometimes He sends rescue. (Rahab: Book of Joshua, chapter 6)

Somtimes you have to walk through. (Three Hebrew Children in the fire Book of Daniel, chapter 3) (Daniel in the lion’s den, Book of Daniel, Chapter 6)

Somtimes you have to lay it down, no matter how deep the pain goes. (Jacob, when he was lied to and told that his favorite son, Joseph, was dead. Book of Genesis, chapter 37)

Sometimes you need to run. (David upon learing that King Saul was, as David suspected, going to kill him. Book of 1 Samuel, chapter 20.)

God cares about it all, the darker it is the deeper He heals.

If you’re having a affair, talk to Him. If you’ve had an abortion, talk to Him. If you hate your husband, talk to Him. If you’ve stolen innocence, talk to Him. If you’ve been abusive to your children and family, talk to Him. If you’re addicted to ANYTHING, talk to Him. If you don’t even believe He is real, talk to Him anyway, ask Him for proof.

Maybe I have said this before, maybe not, one Spring day my son and a good friend were goofing off when and where they should not have been, one of them on a saddled horse. From the second story kitchen window I saw only the horse’s four feet in mid air. Screaming for her mother and bolting outside I found both of them in shock – my son standing frozen in time, terrified and his friend walking toward me shaking from head to toe. I was jelly. Her mother was wonder woman and after a long 24 hours we all began to breathe again. Yes the horse had landed on top of the child, yes it was within inches of a cliff, yes there are scars still on both horse and rider, yes I thought my son would have been beaten to death by her father. BUT GOD – saved her life, the horse’s life, and the relationships. EVERYTHING – God is here, He shows up for His children.  Above all, make sure you are one of His children not some stranger crying in the darkness but His child begging a Father or safety, redemption, mercy, grace, deliverance, restoration and RESCUE !
