Reality Check

Things are crazy at work and I just ran to McDonalds to grab something and run back here. As I pulled forward to collect my food it occured to me…. I was busy fumbling around and didn’t even look up at the person who took my money ! Did I even say thank you? I can’t remember.
Our lives are too fast, too hurried. As I sat waiting at the 2nd window I was reminded of Ernesto Chauque, the director of the Community Center we are going to serve in Mozambique, Africa. He or some other adult feeds 120 children each day I am not sure if it is once a day or more but I did see on his You Tube video that they do not have a stove or oven yet, food is cooked in a large pot over an open fire !!!!!
Yikes – just thinking about feeding that many children is intimidating but to cook food in such a primitive way is overwhelming.
What a reality check !
What is important ? Really important.
