Need You Now

Wow, I heard a new song last night titled, “Need You Now” – no, it’s not the  country song by Lady Antebellum with the same title about two people who struggle with being drunk and alone, longing for someone they know is wrong for them.  It is laced with beautiful harmony, a haunting piano and I reckon it has caused many late night temptations, calls and regrets !

This is NOT that song !  This song is a woman crying out to God and it is beautiful.

Brokenness crying out for deliverance, almost an anthem.

I heard it while driving down a dark lonely highway coming back from San Antonio to see my teenage son who no longer lives with me.  He is doing well and I am very thankful but sometimes letting go can break your heart.  It always helps to hear a powerful woman cry out as if she knows exactly what you are feeling. Can I get an AMEN ladies ?

Then, today I received a text from a dear friend who needed this song just like me.  Music is a powerful tool that can be used by God to bring healing. Maybe you are in a spot where you need this song today, if not, you just might run into someone who does.  Always good to have a song in your back pocket!!
