Need a mini vacation?

I want to share a story with you that goes with these photos.  In the Spring of 2012 I shared a  job with a friend – she would work one weekend and I would work the next.  It was a graveyard shift at a local hotel.

Those 8 hour shifts were quiet and hard – being alone that long made me face MANY dark things about myself that needed healing.  I hated the job, was not very good at it, but I did not quit.

Deliverance came when she decided to quit her weekends.  Another employee wanted them all so I was asked if I wanted to stay and take every weekend or just let the other person take over.

I bowed out gracefully.       But I DID NOT QUIT.

Now, at that time, my friend and I both were healing from man troubles and she had been on her walk a lot longer.  What a difference a year makes.  In the Spring of 2013 the Lord provided her a man who surprised her completely.

She has quit her day job, retired and driven off into the sunset with her cowboy.

These photos are from their summer vacation spot – the views are tear worthy.

So, enjoy the mini vacation and let her story show that there is a dawn after the night.  This photo is taken from her front porch!

In conclusion I say…….I don’t want a man – but I sure would take the Arizona mountains for the summer!!!
