More Than a Feeling

Anyone who knows me can tell you that I am NOT into fashion ! If it isn’t denim I’m not wearing it. Comfortable jeans and shoes – I still dress like a 1980’s high schooler. My daughter got her clothing gene from her father and for that I am forever grateful!
I was watching TV last night and saw some fashion designers giving make overs to women who looked terrible in their clothes but did not know it. By the end of the show one was a new woman and happy as a clam, but she was still fat. Being very overweight I was waiting for them to put her in something that made her look “thinner”. The second woman was a thin knockout but dressed to avoid men – by the end of the show she was happy to be sexy. The reality hit me like lightening !
It’s not how you look in your clothes, it’s how you FEEL !
I am a high strung, nervous type – I want to FEEL comfortable. Others dress to FEEL successful, and the list goes on……
Unless you are a superstar then you pay someone mega money to dress you, a supermodel you starve yourself and wear what you are told, a superfreak then you dress to stand out.
No matter what you wear you are presenting yourself to the public for opinion. It is facinating how much “peer pressure” there is on this planet from birth to death we all face stress to fit in somewhere.

In general, my children refuse to eat anything that hasn’t danced on television.
