Mirror Mirror

The Lord has been blessing me with many adversities this past year, along my path He has granted a full size mirror with feet to walk beside me. Whenever I look to the left or the right the mirror is there in the spiritual realm reflecting the image of my heart right back at me.  This is a terrifying way to travel.  Blaming and running is not the way to get anywhere and when I stopped, moved into a house by myself (and my son as a part time resident) there I was. Me.

I have confessed in class that it was this very isolation that made me wake up and listen. To stop talking to people around me and listen. If you stop and listen to yourself you will realize that most of what you are saying is empty words causing damage.

“But we all need our girlfriends! Who else do we have to talk too?”

Again, I say, most of what we are saying is empty words causing damage.

For those of you with patience who suffered my thoughtless whining I sincerely say that I am sorry to you. Those of us causing pain rarely realize it.  I’ve said this before, please forgive each other – Jesus said from the cross… “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” This is a deep truth.

Pray for one another in love and forgive.

It’s so ironic – as I previewed this blog I realized that I talk all the time!  To you. I almost deleted the whole thing because of how stupid it is that I would say I’ve been quiet !!!  I’ll never be quiet!!! I didn’t delete it because I feel it is “somewhat” true.  I have been listening, to God, to myself, my teacher at class each week, and my pastor each weekend.  I pray that these blogs are not empty words causing damage.  My prayer is that they are full of hope, giving life to those who need to know they are not alone.
