It Can Happen to You

Email communication is a powerful thing. I can say things via type that I cannot bring myself to say outloud. Whether to someone else or to myself it’s easier to “pen” it then to speak it. Although I do think speaking is much more important, sometimes it’s hard.
The other night I had a conversation through email that changed lives and spaned a history of 23 1/2 years.
Hurting people hurt people – how many times have I blogged this?
Well, when we hurt people we generally never comprehend how deep the wound is actually infected. Living in “solitary confinement” has helped me face many things – the good, the bad and the ugly. Looking into a mirror is hard work but necessary if you want to grow. And critical if you are nurturing the seed of Christianity to produce fruit on another continent.
God performed a miracle that opened a door for me to ask forgiveness for a wound cut deep. He opened it up just enough for me to send an email through and say that I was sorry. The battle scars are so old I’d almost forgotten how I got them – but battle it was and when God tapped my shoulder and said – ask her for forgiveness – I did.
It’s never too late to say you’re sorry.
It’s never too late to say you’re sorry.
Say it in an email if you have to but say it if you need to.
