In Spirit and in Truth

I’ve been a professing Christian for for 25 years (I did take a few years off to be an athesist). I worshipped in word and deed. Trying to live my life to match my mouth. Trying, trying.

I’ve laid down, taken a rest in a hammock with Jesus, had a long conversation and decided that He’s right.  It’s time to worship Him is spirit and in truth.

I don’t mean to get preachy or seem crazy to some of you – I simply mean, talk to Him not to man. Hear from Him not from man. Read His word and hear His voice through it. He created Adam and Eve why? For some science experiment? No, just for fellowship. The sadest question in the Bible is

“Who told you that you were naked….” Genesis 3:11

If you read before it and after it you can hear the pain in His voice. The day before they were naked and were fine, loving God enjoying the garden, living life…… then disobedience.

He loves us. He loves us. He loves us.

Pour a cup of coffee, invite Him to come and sit then just talk to Him like He’s sitting there because He will be – in Spirit – at least I believe that He will be.

A friend of mine said she was up late or up early I cannot remember which and she was reading her Bible and praying and she felt His presence.  He really didn’t say anything she said it was as if He just wanted to “hang out”. Imagine that. No preacher, no doctrine, no process just the Holy Spirit coming to hang out with you. This was in 2011 and the Japanese Earthquake had just happened. It was so powerful that it actually knocked the Earth off of it’s axis by 1.8 microseconds and from what I could find on the internet took the lives of 16,447 people from the actual quake and tsumani following. I told her that I thought He dropped by to take a break from the aftermath for a moment.

Is this true – only He knows.

23 Yet a time is coming and has now come   when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit   and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit,   and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”

John 4:23 and 24
