I Don’t Deserve This

Gotta say I had a rough Wednesday. Work was a little crazy but I was able to get the very important accomplished.
Let me tell you some things that happened today that I did not deserve…..
First, some backstory…..Mom was at work with me as is the case when she has a doctor’s appointment. She rides in with me and I put her to work! She loves the break from the house and I love the help!
#1 This morning at a stop sign facing a four lane highway we discussed going to McDonalds for breakfast take out or making the effort to get onto the highway and turn around for Whataburger. I HATE left hand turns and will go to great effort to avoid them in heavy traffic. Ever since my children were small I have prayed for the Lord to make a way when I am faced with multiple lanes to crossover. He has almost always heard me when I call on this matter. This particular morning was different, I did not pray because it was 8am and jam packed.

Imagine my shock when I mentioned doubling back to Whataburger and noticed that all the lanes were clear. I said……..
“Uh……”
I hesitated for just a moment and then whipped out left. I said a prayer of thanks for my deliverance I received without even asking for it.
#2 The miracle of the exact same clearance when it came to the left hand turn out of the drive through!!
#3 Was later, on the way to mom’s doctor appointment. I was afraid of being late (those of you who know me well are laughing). As I saw the yellow light I forgot all about being a Christian and the two morning miracles, I decided that shifting gears and stopping for yellow was unacceptable. I noticed the State Trooper as the red was loud and clear where yellow had just been. As my light was red – his turned green. He executed his turn, pulled up right behind me and I realized that I was pushing God just a little to far. I told mom to not look in her side mirror at him and don’t turn around hoping to not draw attention to the fact he was our only conversation at the moment. I did say a very spiritual prayer……
“Oh Lord, I am so sorry”
Then miraculously the trooper just drove on passed me like no big deal. Talk about a financial miracle (my budget does not need a ticket). I slowed down turned to mom and said…..this is going on the blog.
Thank You Lord, for these miracles I did not deserve today.
