Last Friday night I went with some friends to see the movie “UNconditional”, it was good and if you have a chance to see it I recommend that you do, I may blog about it another time. This blog is about what happenened after. It was late when we drove across town to get my son who was staying with me for the weekend and then headed back to our town. This blog is to serve as proof to each of you that you should always be thankful for safe passage wherever you travel.
We were headed home on Interstate 10 when an optical illusion became a terrifying reality in the form of a large SUV headed straight for us in our lane of traffic. They were coming at 70 mph the wrong way ! First, I thank God someone else was driving our vehicle and kept a cool head – she simply changed lanes and they flew past us. I grabbed my phone, dialed 911 and then my son and I watched out the back window, as headlights and one set of brake lights danced in strange patterns, the brake lights headed straight into the median bouncing up and down.
No one was injured. Many thanks to God for this fact. Many Thanks !!!
As of lunch time today I was still having some issues with the experience. I talked to the woman who was driving and she’s fine. So I said a prayer and decided to blog – The Lord reminded me that I have the Psalm 33:18-19 marked in my Bible, out beside it are dates of miracles where death could have occured.
Sept 26, 2007 – I was nearly electricuted by doing something STUPID at the dryer outlet – the power blew all the way to the electrical pole. My son felt the current pass under his feet in his bedroom !
May 29, 2012 – A tube shoot in the San Marcos river, my son’s foot became wedged in river rocks trapping him below the surface. Unable to free himself he was knocked free by another person! His foot sustained injury but his life was spared.
Sept 22, 2012 – recently added.
Psalm 33:18-19 (NIV)
But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
