Happy Monday

Hello there – today’s little blog is funny.  It may not seem funny but it is.  I got a really good deal on my cell phone and I use it for everything – –  a calendar, grocery list, alarms, cooking timer and best of all, the world clock.  I check on the time is Scotland to see what my aunt is doing and I check Maputo, Mozambique Africa to pray for Ernesto and the children at different times of their day. So, I really love my phone.

When I type the phone pops up words that it thinks I’m trying to spell.  This feature is both good and bad but last Friday it was funny.  I was texting the word “feminine” and here’s what happened.

I typed “f e m i n”  and the phone automatically populated “d e m o n” – – – – that’s funny.

The dictionary thought of demon before feminine – – what has our society come to?  I actuallly laughed out loud.  Even with the “F” as the first letter the phone changed it to a completely different word.  Scary isn’t it?  It’s so funny what will spark the blogs in me but this was just too good to pass  up.

Do you remember the Bible story about Job?  Today’s little Bible lesson here is that the devil was given permission by God to do anything to Job but kill him. The devil killed every one of Job’s children but left his wife.  What? Yes, sad but true. The wife could be used more effectively living than the pain her death would have caused.  This has always scared me – was I a wife like that?

Ok, enough retrospection and deep thinking. Let us just laugh that the machines that are taking over our world don’t know how to spell feminine. We should all wear skirts in protest !!!

I went to google images and typed “femin”, clicked on the first word that populated, then clicked the first image that came up.
