Here’s food for thought….. I was running lunch errands last Wednesday and saw a sight that was very interesting. Now, if I was a banker (ok, you can stop laughing) you could not convince me to loan money to someone who wanted to open a “full service” car wash. It just goes to show why I’m not a banker because when I drove past the one by the Post Office there were at least 30 vehicles there, all lined up in different rows. It looked like a car lot. Someone was even honking. It completely took me by surprise !!! Maybe it’s because my single income is a razor’s edge from disaster that it would never occur to me pay someone else to spit and polish my ride, but it’s a booming enterprise !! If people care so much about their cars I wonder what their houses look like! Wait, I remember the last time I drove to New Braunfels, Texas, there was an entire fleet of small dark blue sedans with pink lettering in a parking lot. Sunday morning, all in a row advertising a house cleaning business. In reality, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. From the beginning of time there have been “mess makers” and “cleaner upers”. Some people have more money than time. Given the option, I’d rather have time.
To be content with little is hard; to be content with much is impossible.
