Today started out bad, I “argued” with the devil till lunch and then a friend politely smacked me around with “why are you wasting your time, you are fighting in the flesh (my mind) when you should just cry out to Jesus, to take care of it.” God sent The Holy Spirit to be our comforter and I have wasted far too many years ignoring Him. God is in Heaven, Jesus is in Heaven – Holy Spirit is right here if I but only ask. So I came straight in from lunch and went right into the bathroom, I did not come out a fighter I came out victorious!
Whatever has us down we have access to Heaven with every breath we take. Ladies, this sounds so simple but for an intellectual like me who has insecurities and is argumentative – this is a hard truth. My new goal as I walk out this broken wilderness season is to pray in the Spirit, to release my will to my Father’s will and to pray and not think, overthink and think deeper still…… I can use some prayer from y’all on this. I’ll pray for you too. Below is just the scripture for us to stand on and pray. My lunch buddy prays it twice a day over herself, I started today in the bathroom, some of you already do it I’m sure.
Ephesians Chapter 6
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the
evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of
righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts
of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all
perseverance and supplication for all saints;
