Departure set for 5 am, my alarm set for 4 – I woke up at 3:43 and was too excited to wait so I rose and got ready ! Today is our beach day. The motel owner’s cousin is taking us 1 1/2 hours North to the city of Beline (pronounced “bee lynn”).

Ernesto was right, the highway is more narrow the farther north you travel. But our driver, I believe his name to be Enrique, was very patient and did not take any chances with passing. As you may recall, I’ve written about how chaotic the traffic is here. People pass anytime, all the time, so you have to give some space to the person racing around you from behind or the person racing toward you in your lane as they pass someone. There is always weaving back and forth to avoid a head on collision as the two lane road is more three lane most of the time.

Enrique lives in Belline so he took us to his house and fed us breakfast before we went to the beach. Toasted bread and jam. The bread is made with coconut, it was delicious. He kept making bread and we kept eating until finally I asked him to stop making it because we were going to burst.

He said, “Oh, okay, I make bread till you tell me to stop and so you tell me, I stop.”

I wonder how long he would have continued if I had not said something? Then, we changed clothes and off to the beach we went.

Yes, it was the beach from my vision. I thought that it would be, at least I was hoping it would be. Real life is never as good as you imagine so of course there were people on both sides of us and hotels as well. But the coastline was the same and there was a line of trees about 40 feet from shore just like my vision. Amazing !

I did not see Jesus today nor did I get a feeling that I had been here before. I was just happy. HAPPY. This is what Jesus had for me back in August 2011 when He gave me that vision. He held me while I cried on that beach and I fell love. Now over a year later I am here in real life and there is healing.

I am happy. I am healing. I am changing. When the Lord is ready I will be able to help someone, anyone. There will be a ministry for me, there already is – family, blog, work, church, community… I need to stop searching and just minister. !

My spirit and body needed today. Even with sunblock I got sun kissed (not burned). Richard and Lorraine needed today too. I took pictures of her after she covered herself in wet sand and let it dry on her – this is exfoliation at its best and she was completely covered. We have all been working so hard and it was good to let the Lord refresh and rejuvenate us.

After we swam, played and took pictures Enrique took us to a restaurant that was different and interesting. You pick your food from their butchery, then place your side orders and they will prepare it for you. Enrique told them to have it ready in one hour and then he took us back to his house for showers and clean up. He has a Mango tree in his yard the size of a mature Texas Live Oak ! There is no way anyone could get the fruit from the top without a crane or a bucket truck. He has owned this property for 32 years.

Lunch was fantastic. The first fancy meal we’ve had here. It sure was better than uncooked oatmeal ! Lorraine and Richard had seafood, Enrique and I had steak. My stomach has shrunk here but I ate every bite – on purpose ! There was no room for it but I was not about to leave any of that protein on the plate. I ate every bite, I think we all did. Fantastic.

On the way back home the road venders here sell Cashew nuts from plastic bags hanging from tree limbs and Beline homemade Beer also hanging from tree limbs. Stacks of Pineapples, they are darker and smaller than what we have in America, they are a very rich color. Richard got some Cashews.

What a wonderful day !! Thank You Lord for our beach day and safe return home.

Sylvia.
