An Unexpected Miracle

I have fantastic news.  I applied for a promotion at work and got it.  I could write for days how wonderful this is but I’ll keep it as short as I can.

April 2011 – I got this job. I’d been out of the work force for MANY years.  I told the Lord I would work hard, learn my job and not look for another one.  I would have to trip over another job before I would leave. In the past I have a tendency to be a “Dreamer not a Do-er”

So, I put my hands to the job in front of me and went to work. When the position came open I asked my boss if I could apply – I did not go around him or over him and I was willing to submit to his authority if he said no.

I am now the Administative Assistant to the Executive Director.

This is a big deal for me. A college degree is preferred but because of my job performance she is giving me the chance of a lifetime !

Oh, and as an added bonus she told me that since December is so quiet that

I CAN TAKE THE ADDED TIME OFF AND STAY WITH THE TEAM IN AFRICA

AND NOT COME HOME ALONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not only has God given me a good job, He has given me a good boss.

My current boss is happy and sad at the same time, so are the other 11 people I’ve been running the office for.  Please pray with me that the Lord will bless them with a good Administrative Assistant.
